If one needs more functionality than is included in the neutered Debian KeepassXC package, this is probably a good time to consider the KeepassXC AppImage or Flatpak. There might be an extra step with each in getting browser integration working.
I wouldn't be able to use the current Debian package. That's a no go.

You have to install fonts that support that needed character. Whatever it may be. Could so be an emoji.
The Nerd fonts are popular for emojis and icons. You may need special language fonts for special characters and the like. In essence, which ones, it's hard to say. I'm not sure there is a good way.
A web search for "unicode FF5C" indicates it's a fullwidth vertical line in a common math equations.

I'd get one of those physical laptop privacy screens, the kind that you can only see the screen if it's right directly in front of you. Any views from an angle are black.

Firefox said they'd make Wayland the default window/display in some future release. That doesn't mean they won't continue to support X11. There are plenty of long-term distros that will stay around for years (or longer).

Usually that's an errant program/service that isn't listening on the shutdown requests, and gets killed by a watchdog process at about 90 seconds.
