#3 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » [SOLVED] Devuan, runit and Firewalld » 2021-10-17 09:32:48

apt-get install firewalld
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
firewalld is already the newest version (0.9.3-2).

I also installed firewall-applet and firewall-config

firewall-cmd --state
running

Sorry, I have probably installed some dependencies that I forgot to mention. It works.

#4 Re: Hardware & System Configuration » pulseaudio » 2021-10-17 09:07:43

It's possible to install without pulseaudio. Install volumeicon-alsa. And everything related to qas mixer (and related files).

#5 Re: Desktop and Multimedia » [SOLVED] Devuan, runit and Firewalld » 2021-10-17 08:59:22

Firewalld has been running on Artix linux, and it has been installed without gui on Devuan.
Linked means
ln -s /etc/sv/<service> /etc/runit/runsvdir/default/

Dear Devuan community,
I have been using Devuan 2.0 XFCE.
In some applications I don't have proper fonts, for example, system fonts are 14, but in Clementine, letters are so tiny that application can't be used.
Any help ?
WPS office is another affected application.
Thank you.

Hello again!

There is an old bug in Debian, if you can help me, I hope that bug is not in Devuan as well.
I tried to automount NTFS partition with Disks, and I failed.
I tried with every option - dev/sda, UI .... etc.
Is there any chance to automount partitions ?
Thank you very much and have a nice day, wonderful community of Devuan.

I'll tried with fresh install. Now mounting is working. Just to add automount. I hope that it will last. Thank you to all guys.

If you want to mount partition with mouse - no. You just need to change policykit rules. If you want to get partition already mounted after booting - yes.

If you have created /mnt/dev/sda5 directory manually - it's correct and after reboot NTFS partition will be mounted automatically. If it worked - it's great and you can add some options for better system integration.

Automount does not work, and manual mount, too. Where I made mistake ?

How to properly edit etc/fstab ?

You shouldn't need to modify your fstab at all. Which version of Devuan are ytou running? Which Desktop Environment? Have you fiddled with policykit or consolekit/elogind by any chance. This should work OOTB in Devuan ASCII.

I have been runing Devuan 2.0 XFCE

I agree with Katolaz, more than likely a polkit issue. You shouldnt need to edit fstab to make an ntfs partition mount, more info on your system is needed at this point.

What is the output of below ls command?

I used to mount them. There is an error "Not authorized to perform operation".
