Congrats!
Oh God, a big thank you.
Before firefox esr 91 I had to use
gfx.webrender.all = true
in order to have firefox usable to play videos and yes since esr 91 firefox was completly unusable. So I installed a fresh virtual machine with chimaera and chromium and the video playing was a way better than firefox on physical host (such a shame).
But this worked for me and firefox is usable again!
gfx.webrender.all = false
gfx.webrender.force-disabled = true
gfx.webrender.force-legacy-layers = true
Thanks again!
This sounds like a good news : PipeWire 0.3.31 https://www.reddit.com/r/MXLinux/commen … chpad_ppa/
Supports on MX Linux and ubuntu 18.04 also Or All Debian based distros
many thanks again !!
Maybe this is due to sandboxing. Try adding --no-sandbox to the launch command. I found that : https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comment … s_without/
Proxmox heavily rely on systemd now https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/build … uan.61289/
Thanks a lot!
It's an hard dependency :
apt-cache show php7.0
Package: php7.0
Version: 7.0.33-0+deb9u8
Depends: libapache2-mod-php7.0 | php7.0-fpm | php7.0-cgi, php7.0-common
So, instead of installing a meta package you should install packages independently like https://hostup.org/blog/how-to-install- … debian-10/
Pulling in over a million lines of code to create a single directory.
Do we need a better example of the install-bloat and complexity-creep problems systemd creates?
There's none so blind as those who will not see.
Thank you!
Hello ! Maybe that thread can interest you : https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=3331
The funny thing about this lwn thread (https://lwn.net/Articles/822066/) is that the "HelloWorld" guy accuses the Devuan people of wasting everyone's time when he's the one who's just doing it
In my case, I installed two devuan systems (jessie and ascii) with the debian installer and it ends up with the same message (without the fsmithred patch).
Servers : devuan
Developement workstation : devuan
Client workstation (non-developper job, just regular office job) : mx linux (I installed linux mint for 2 years but finally migrated to mx linux)
Congratulations, great job guys ! Thank you !
Great work. Thank you ! +1
Maybe choosing devuan was my mistake....
Making a sarcastic comment in such a context is a mistake.
- Note that firefox-esr no longer requires pulseaudio. You can easily
remove pulseaudio and just use alsa.
What a f****** good news!!!
The apt(8) command no longer accepts regular expressions or wildcards as package arguments, use patterns (see New Features).

Yet another important program that's going to have to be forked...
@tdrnetworks Thank you very much!
@Lorenzo
I think this is just the beginning.
More and more debian packages will go down this path since the last debian resolution whether it is interpreted by maintainers in various ways wrongly or on purpose.
Debian and Devuan will have their respective paths diverging more and more.
Oh, it appears that was an old reference to stretch-backport and it wasn't purged. Please close this topic.
Maybe it's debhelper :
apt-cache show debhelper
Breaks: cmake (<< 3.9~), dh-systemd (<< 1.38), meson (<< 0.40.0~)
and cmake is currently Version: 3.7.2-1
Do you know what happened ? I made a dist-upgrade on devuan ascii 64 bit this morning and cmake was removed and dwz was installed.
Now I can not install cmake along with dh-make.
