Probably firmware-non-free (but it's not 100%)?
You can just compile linux for raspberry pi: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux
These days, after switching to arm64, I will also have this problem because I also have raspi3 but on armhf.
Nosing around reveals that there's a linux-image-4.14.0-0.bpo.3-arm64 package available. Should I just bite the bullet and install it?
No, this kernel will not work fully with raspberry pi.
P.s. also try this: https://elinux.org/Raspberry_Pi_Kernel_Compilation
Hello, I use raspi3, but raspi2 image installed. I had many changes onto it and so don't want to reinstall it. I think I can add architecture arm64, reinstall armhf minbase with minbase for arm64, reboot and switch all other packages?
And who said that the other repository, pkgmaster, is any faster?
Should we run a campaign to raise funds for faster repositories?
Maybe there are so many people using them that the servers can't keep up. That is a happy problem.
Imagine authoring a distribution with a superfast server than nobody uses.
But debian is one of popularest distros?
The average speed is 100 kbps, but my internet provider speed is more than 1-2mbps.
Why is it so slow?
P.s. I also select select ru/ua/kz mirrors (near to me), but the story agains.
Installed the system in dualboot (with united kernel). Works great!
Hello guys. No, i don't want to install systemd on devuan. I want to install devuan, but i have some questions:
1. Is it easy to maintain .deb packages?
2. Is it stable as slackware?
3. I need last version of minetest. Can i compile it into .deb for me in 1 command as in slackware?
VERSION=0.4.16 sbopkg -i minetest
4. Is there any pawbook for newbies on system tools and package maintaining?
5. Is it easy to serve a small repository on raspberry pi?
Thank you!
