Current state of Devuan regarding systemd

Hello everyone, I am wondering is Devuan 100% free of systemd and its parts? I am looking to install Devuan Ceres on my machine and I want to make sure that its safe to install packages without pulling the intruder in smile

Jessie is in a pretty good state, but ascii and ceres need attention and aren't currently recommended for casual or mission critical tasks.  Of course if you're able and willing to help with the neccessary re-packaging work required to bring them up to date, then let me know and I will can help you get to grips with our workflow.

Amprolla, that is responsible for the Devuan repos, sometimes lags a bit behind the Debian repos. There are also more packages that need attention as systemd expands its reach.  Focus now is on Jessie. Feel free to join in the effort.

Unfortunately, systemd is like a cancer, it just grows & grows, & takes over its host, until it kills it - need to keep abreast of what the BSD's are up to. smile

NB: This is written 'tongue in cheek'. wink

remember that the user is just another "service" to the system that it needs to control
... it will shut you down when you are no longer needed

I like the shevy.gif, can I use it on my blog?

Devuan ceres looks pretty freakin stable to me.

I just used it and my only error from updating was thunderbird wouldn't work for some reason. So I used icedove and for some reason that worked... weird but true...
