Veromix

Sorry about my super excitement.

I was greatly happy and surprised that Devuan repos includes veromix.  The last time I installed it straight up I was using Debian Jessie.  Since then I have been compiling from old source and playing around with mix results.  If Linux should have a good sound interface/mixer/equalizer veromix is a good candidate IMHO.  The various option of equalization it offers are out of this world.

I would love for someone else to check and verify that in fact veromix is really included in Devuan repos.

job@luna:~$ aptitude search veromix

i A veromix-common - Mixer for the PulseAudio sound server (co

Heaven people!

Re: Veromix

Not an expert but I wonder how it's pulled into the Beowulf installation that I am running.  Probably a manual install I did loads it up in the package management...?

golinux, can you help with the team in porting veromix in future releases?

I wonder what is in your sources.list.

The Devuan team's job is to provide Debian without a dependency on systemd.  Our job is not to port everyone's favorite app to Devuan.  Users are welcome to do that themselves and share it on Devuan's git if they have an itch.

Good that you found the culprit.  It really isn't a good idea to have deb-multimedia in your sources.  Especially uncommented.   That could put you in a world of hurt.

One other thing . . . country codes aren't really available on Devuan.  Besides that, there is no US mirror!  The round robin at deb.devuan.org is the best option.

I shall lean to creating a git.

Excellent.

Re: Veromix

To see from which repositories a package has been installed use

apt policy $package

Replace $package with the actual name of the package.

+1, those clowns don't have a clue about packaging.
