setnet.sh script depreciated?

I've noticed the setnet.sh script has depreciated in beowulf. which came standard in ASCII
However is there a reason it was not carried over? (Is it a potential security issue keeping WPA keys in a wpa_supplicant conf file?)
It still seems to work if you put all the files in the right spot, slightly off topic but thought this thread was a good place to mention.

KatolaZ has moved from Linux to BSD so that script is now unmaintained.  Someone else is free to pick it up if they like.  It may also be perfectly fine to use it in Beowulf.  Hopefully someone can advise on that.

You can install 0.4 in beowulf using the deb package.
