It should disappear if you press the F11 key - press again to get it back.
I've accidentally done that a number of times. First time freaked me out!

Didn't have it in Chimaera either, and everything worked..
Things change from release to release. It is always a good idea to read the Release Notes and also this page to make sure that your sources.list is configured correctly.

linwirepa . . . thank you for creating a new Devuan spin and posting it here. That being said . . . I find the Debian logo in the banner of your website inappropriate in this context. It could be confusing for some and who knows what Debian would do if they saw that association with Devuan using their logo!!

What else would you expect but instability when you play on the bleeding edge of "unstable" (sid)? What you are experiencing is the norm . . .

Daedalus release is in progress atm so might be best to avoid accessing repositories until all servers are in sync . . .

Yes and yes. Not many Devuan users use pulseaudio which is why a response might be slow. I have never had it installed. Please be patient.
