Thanks for the wonderful news! Would be nice to find a way to get it into the Devuan repos. Anyone up to taking that on? I'll also contact Andreas Messer as he made efforts to port it some years ago.

Yes. That is to create an installer iso. Be prepared for possible debugging of scripts involved to get it to work. There are currently no live testing isos because of the rate of changes necessary at this point.

Currently, no testing installer ISOs are available for Excalibur. You'll have to upgrade from Daedalus. Do the usrmerge before upgrading. Hopefully, the ISOs will be available soon.

@Altoid . . . A "bug report" is not necessarily a "bug". In the future before posting about a "bug" it might be a good idea to wait until it has been verified by the Devuan devs that it actually IS a bug. No need to spread unnecessary FUD on this forum . . .
