Huawei Freebuds

Work out of the box in Debian 13. Not so much in Devuan 6. They are connected in bluetooth. But no sound. I can not see where to change the output source. They must not be connected properly. Sometimes when I try to connect I get:  Conection unsucessfull - No sound end points registered.( thats my translation)

In the sound app they are sof-hda-dsp, but thats also what the speakers are called.

Don't use this type of hardware but it should (?) behave as any other BT harware.
eg: BT mouse with a USB receiver plugged in.

There may be more information in /var/log/[fill-in]
ie: [dmesg] and then [kern.log], [syslog], [messages] and [lsusb].

1. Boot the box without the [thinguies/USB whatever] plugged in.
2. Plug them in and check what [dmesg] tells you.
3. That should give you some data wrt the hardware.     

Check to see what [lsusb] says.

Maybe it is a driver/configuration/pairing issue.

Edit:
A fast check on-line found that the earbuds have to be paired manually.
The lack of [systemd] in Devuan is (most probably) the key.
Maybe that the Huawei management apps are not Linux-able?

Maybe Audio Mixer > Volume Control > Output Devices - (Port).

The error message is an indication that the computer does not run the required server, which is the one registering as an endpoint for the audio service. On a good day I would remember the TLAs involved.

Bluetooth audio invloves firstly a connectiivty daemon, typically bluez, which sits as a broker between the device connection handling (the link level, so to speak) and the audio protocol(s) handler. The latter depends on your choice in audio setup. For a "pure alsa" setup you would need bluealsa daemon, and that afaik has been shit-ified so may require a bit of hands-on in its dbus linking. I'm not aware about a direct point-n-click solution, but mayby there is.
