Hello,
if i install Devuan 6, will there be nvidia drivers available to support NVIDIA GeForce GT730M ?
Lenovo T540p.
or is there no chance to get those like in other debian distributions ?
i understood nvidia-tesla-470-driver will be neccessary.
it would be KDE.
Thank you for answers !

hi,
had the T440p several time at dispolsal, and once with GT730m (if rmemeber correctly);
am not sure about the current Nvidia driver situation, but certainly have noticed that once with the dual-graphics setup that the GT730m is not really that much superior to the Intel HD 4600, so in case you are not able to get it to function, you wont loose that much i suppose, and you might even gain a bit of battery life (intel + nvidia can be taxing on battery if you have the dedicated drivers on) -
but wish you best luck with the driver, hope you can get it function.

the nvidia driver makes a big difference when even watching normal videos and when playing games. the t540p is a completely other machine without it.
i testet it on LMDE7 with the nouveau driver and it becomes basically a plain 2D and text usable machine, which is better than nothing, but even watching videos in the browser isn't quality. so basically no option to use this laptop without the driver, it's just no fun.
so it looks that also under devuan6 it will be not possible to get it run as i assume.
then i have to continue searching further if any distro will support it anymore.
