Some problems after upgrading to Daedalus

Greetings, everyone

first of all, sorry for my bad english

After upgrading to Daedalus, i've encountered some problems

1. Speaker always muted, and picked the wrong audio device, i have to configure it with pavucontrol manually everytime and it always reverts back to muted everytime i login to desktop
2. Xfceterm slow response after opened for a while,
it runs fine after i open it, but if i leave it open and then i type something, it doesnt immediately show, there's a delay like i run out of memory, i'm pretty sure it's not the problem since any other applications run just fine

thanks

Re: Some problems after upgrading to Daedalus

Hello.

Try run xfce4 terminal from another terminal (for example from xterm). And post terminal output here.

Re: Some problems after upgrading to Daedalus

Sorry in advance if this post considered as necroing

So after my old SSD is broken, i reinstall a fresh Devuan to a brand new SSD, but the funny thing is, the problem persists. I also encountered the same problem with Artix, so my guess is something is wrong with PulseAudio configuring my sound

Re: Some problems after upgrading to Daedalus

Common problem and setting default sound card in Pulseaudio might solve it.

Look here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1038490 … -in-ubuntu

But since Alsa is always there and the basis for Pulse, you might have to set it there too. Try the Pulse way first.
