Hi,
I've installed Devuan on a raspberry with https://arm-files.devuan.org/RaspberryP … %20Builds/
I've installed nftables following https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?pid=34460#p34460
# apt install nftables orphan-sysvinit-scripts
# cp /usr/share/orphan-sysvinit-scripts/nftables /etc/init.d
# update-rc.d nftables defaults
I've reboot but it seem that nft do not start :'(
in /etc/init.d/nftables it was set
Default-Start: S
Default-Stop: 0 1 6
I've change to 1 2 and 0 6 and
$ update-rc.d nftables default-disabled
$ reboot
but still seem not to start
$ runlevel
N 2
$ /etc/init.d/nftables status
nft rulset loaded: yes
$ ps aux | grep
... grep nft #so only the grep cmd
$lsmod | grep nft
(nothing)
Any ideas ?

And what makes you think nftables is a daemon?
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. Four times is Official GNOME Policy.

I've loaded nft with some rule
and now lsmod | grep nft return
nft_log ...
nft_ct ...
nft_conntrack ...
nft_objref ...
nf_tables ...
good catch steve_v, indeed nftable (if I'm using the good term) is a kernel module therefore do not run in user-space but in kernel space, so not visible by ps
