I have multiple profiles for Chromium. For the default profile, I have a shortcut on the desktop (which still works). For my second profile I have a shortcut on the panel. After today's update, this shortcut on the panel for the second profile no longer works. See the image below for what I get.
This is the command for the shortcut:
/usr/bin/chromium --profile-directory="Profile 2"
Everything worked fine for months, through every update, until today. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix this? (Yes, I rebooted the computer.) BTW, I can still access the second profile via the default, but would like the shortcut to be fixed. Thanks.

Strange... no idea why chromium did that.
I wonder if this happens on firefox.
Then again, modern firefox is becoming too chrome like, so maybe.

The same thing just happened to me, on a ceres install.
$ apt policy chromium
chromium:
Installed: 125.0.6422.76-1
Candidate: 125.0.6422.76-1
(snip)
My second profile only displays the url address of 0.0.0.1.
Oh well, I removed and then installed the version from excalibur and all is well, for now. I did notice that a "Person 1" profile had been created that was deleted. Don't know if I created it by clicking on a profile button in the browser or whether the bad update created it.

Is version 125.0.6422.76-1 the one you're on now? That's the version I was updated to yesterday.

Yes, it is the version that I updated to that broke my second profile. I removed that version and installed the previous version and my second profile works as expected.
The version that works correctly is
125.0.6422.60-1 500

Today's update to 125.0.6422.112-1 fixed the problem.
