In firefox on many sites, including this one, a google popup asks to remember my password.
I can't imagine why would anyone wish to give google their passwords.
I hope someone here can tell me how to stop it?
Thanks,
Mike

In the Firefox "Settings" menu, go to "Privacy & Security", "Logins and Passwords" section : "Ask to save logins and passwords for web sites" and uncheck the box. Autofill should be un-checked too.

we are using Firefox-esr 115.7.0esr (64-bit)
in addition to @Andre4freedom advice please note that any _Saved_Login(s)_ will need manual deletion(selecting "Saved Logins" opened a new tab for us at "about:logins")

Another option (on particular sites)...I'm kind'a scratching my head to remember (because I'm Amnesiactic n'stuff )...because I no longer have to deal with it (I do what Andre4freedom suggested)...but when that Save password window pops up, there are options in the window via a drop-down menu.
Click on the drop-down menu, and choose Never.
...but Andre4freedom's answer will solve your problem.

I too am using 115.6.0esr (64-bit) and though I couldn't find the 'Never' box to select, I did find the other options.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
I'll mark this as Solved.
Be well,
Mike

Glad you got it sorted!
Hey, I Bleachbit my system so that I can show what I'm talking about...just in case it may help someone else. Here's a picture...
My Amnesiactiology was a little off...instead of Never, it says Never save...but I use the actual Firefox from Mozilla instead of Firefox-ESR from the repos. But that's no excuse n'stuff.
You can't see my mouse pointer, but Never save is highlighted in the window. I'm kind'a old-school and like hiding things from itchy eyes n'stuff. My tinfoil cap is over in the corner...
As soon as you click on Never Save, it won't save that password, and you'll have to enter it each time you log onto "that" site.
EDIT: Lest I forget, Cheyenne Mountain's advice is great too!

That is not a google popup. That is a popup from firefox itself. If you save the password, it will be saved on your computer - NOT GOOGLE.

"including this one"? Do you say you get som google popup from this forum?
The forum software does not raise any such popup afaik.
Which kind of browser do you use?

This is not a forum or Google, this is a standard Firefox feature.
If "Remember history" is selected in settings, default it will prompt you to save your password.

I hate to say it but this didn't solve the problem.
Google still wants to help me log in even after rebooting.
Not solved after all.
Thanks for trying,
Mike

Why do you say "Google" ? That's not a program.
What are you logging *to*?
What program do you use?
