no updates ...

Well, 10 days since i installed the system without a single update, is it normal?.

Since Devuan Jessie is based on Debian Jessie, and Jessie went to oldstable status a couple of weeks ago, I think oldstable gets security fixes only (someone will correct me, I am sure). At any rate, the oldstable updates slow to a trickle.

The update love is going to the new shinies: Debian Stretch and Devuan Ascii.

Within 10 days i got security updates for:

So, i got 4 updates within 10 days. It always depends on how or what packages we've installed on the sys.

bigbenaugust is correct, Debian/Devuan stable gets only security updates.
Also darry1966 is correct, we gets security updates up to 2020.

I see you're running ascii, not jessie. There will be no updates for ascii until -updates and -security are merged, which should be soon.

I see you're running ascii, not jessie. There will be no updates for ascii until -updates and -security are merged, which should be soon.

Any progress on this? I don't mind running a not-yet-released version but having no security fixes e.g. for web browsers is a show stopper.

On one of the recent security bulletin Debian Security Advisory

Linux and other packages are is on pending...

DSA-3927-1 linux -- security update
said on the bottom page:

For the oldstable distribution (jessie), these problems will be fixed in a subsequent DSA

I'm looking forward when they'll provide security update for Jessie. I hope they'll not delay too much.
