What is the point of not enabling hot plug of ethernet devices?

Why in the hell netinstall doesn't enable this? This is so primitive. Why not just enable hot plug automatically in netinstall, are we living in 90's? Please tell me.. Just because I unplugged the ethernet cable now I just need to restart it to make networking work again.. Sigh.

Re: What is the point of not enabling hot plug of ethernet devices?

The netinstall doesn't use /etc/network/interfaces so a request to add hotplug is meaningless.

Just use the <back> button and select the "Configure the network" step again if the cable is disconnected.

Is it still the case that you can complete a netinstall without internet? You won't have extra software and your sources will need attention but it will work and you can add software later.
