Re: [SOLVED] ungoogled-chromium, Iridium, or LibreWolf, please

I package LibreWolf in a debianized fashion: build.opensuse.org. Here is  the nice download page which includes instructions for installing the apt repo: software.opensuse.org

I collaborate with the upstream LibreWolf team, whenever I actually get around to building each new version. I actually then repackage LibreWolf dpkg with my own customizations on top of this debianized LW, so I am dogfooding this.

Re: [SOLVED] ungoogled-chromium, Iridium, or LibreWolf, please

Gday

I recommend
*  using Noscript + ublock origin
*  3rd party cookies disabled

*  LibreWolf instead of Default Firefox
*  Ungoogled Chromium instead of Brave/Default Chrome

* Librewolf appimage works on Dev1
   ( LibreWolf_100.0.2.1.x86_64.AppImage )

* Ungoogled chromium appimage works on Dev1
  ( ungoogled-chromium_91.0.4472.164-1.1.AppImage )

Also, These binaries are provided by anyone who are willing to build and submit them. Because these binaries are not necessarily reproducible, authenticity cannot be guaranteed. For your consideration, each download page lists the GitHub user that submitted those binaries.

I don't trust them.

Re: [SOLVED] ungoogled-chromium, Iridium, or LibreWolf, please

nope, these builds from the link i posted are from an official member of ungoogled-chromium.. please check better next time.
they're not from some random github user.. so, if you don't trust him, you shouldnt trust any binaries from ungoogled-chromium either.

2c.

edit] so they decided to fix downloads, and now Eloston builds and posts in official link :
https://ungoogled-software.github.io/un … -binaries/

What kind of security can we talk about here if they  behind on versions. For example in Debian (and Devuan), chromium version is 101.0.4951.64-1.  In the link you gave, version is 100.0.4896.127-1. I don't trust them.
