[SOLVED] LibreOffice Writer is so slow.

Hi,

My computer has 64 GB memory, nVidia GTX 1070 8GB graphics card, Ryzen 2600 processor. 
I'm using LibreOffice Writer v7.0.4.2 in chimaera.
Compared to previous version, it's really slow.

Seems like I recall 7.0.x.x.x getting a lot of complaints in the past.

Perhaps try the backports version? It's newer...almost the version that's in Ceres.

Hello. Same problem here. You can try disabling hardware acceleration. That's what I did. Now Libreoffice is starting faster.

After I upgraded to 7.2.3.2 using the backports repository, the problem disappeared.
