I want to switch from Ubuntu to Devuan. The problem is that last time I attempted doing this, my graphics drivers weren't working, making my system pretty slow at times. I've had problems with the live installer as well, where it crashed whenever I started the install application. Oh yeah, I also don't feel like trying hard to install drivers because last time I did so, my entire system was ruined.
tldr: works fine on a virtual machine, but terrible on hardware for me. help.
~~~ Beware: mildly brain damaged
What sort of graphics card have you got? Or if you are using onboard graphics what sort of CPU is it?
AMD graphics cards need firmware:
# apt install firmware-amd-graphics
