[SOLVED] ceres repos "stuck" ?

haven't seen updates in a few days (2-3 i think.) in ceres, which is unusual....
maybe devuan amprolla wizards can take a look?  smile

eg. package : ffmpeg, was uploaded in debian sid on 12/9/2020. added debian repo just for checking with apt :

# apt policy ffmpeg
ffmpeg:
  Installed: 7:4.3.1-2
  Candidate: 7:4.3.1-3
  Version table:
     7:4.3.1-3 500
        500 http://deb.debian.org/debian sid/main amd64 Packages
*** 7:4.3.1-2 500
        500 http://deb.devuan.org/merged ceres/main amd64 Packages

thx.

Re: [SOLVED] ceres repos "stuck" ?

I'm also noticing this. Checking with the Debian Sid repository, there are a ton of packages that need to be upgraded, but I always want to be careful with mixing Debian and Ubuntu packages (the only exceptions include Boot-Repair and Mintstick, both of which were safely installed from separate DEB files).

Either way, I'm not too concerned. That it's quite stable itself is rather impressive and satisfies my use cases. Props to the team! smile

Hi

Yes. To be aware and have some knowledge is sometimes required. Now it upgrades python as well :-)

Re: [SOLVED] ceres repos "stuck" ?

Hi

My mistake. but there are python2 and python3. My suggestion is to make sure both are installed. Later in the development proces python2 might be removed.

Have a nice day
