Hello ,
i have seen some benchmark for the new upcoming Ryzen 3000 CPU and it seems that with Kernel 5+ it is very fast.
On my Zen+ running kernel 4.1+ the single core is around 4.100 and multicore around 17-18.000
With Kernel 5.+ it is 4800+ and also Higher Multicore.
I am wondering if there is also an easy upgrade program for switching kernel for Debian/Devuan as on Ubuntu (UKUU application).
Also, are there any risks in installing (prematurely?) a newer kernel that is not yet used officially by the Distro?

It's called GRUB.

@OP: you can follow the Debian guide for building new kernel versions:
https://kernel-team.pages.debian.net/kernel-handbook/
The Liquorix kernel should be compatible with Devuan and they have v5.1 for jessie, stretch & buster:
And if you wait for a bit then the freeze will be over and v5 should make it into ceres & beowulf-backports.
