Hi Folks,
The Network scenario I want to achieve is for the Laptop to receive the Internet connection via the RJ-45 Ethernet port and then to share that connection to the Wireless Adapter using WPA2 without broadcasting the SSID so that I can download updates for my Android phone.
Which USB 3 Wireless Adapters can any of you recommend to me?
Thanks, MTB.

I recommend using adapters that work with the ath9k driver and do not require any non-free firmware. They are supported well, however, they offer "only" 802.11n radio and I am not aware of any that use USB3 (actually, for the data rate USB 2.0 seems sufficient). You can find some listed on the FSF's giving guide (look for "cool devices"):

You might look at the netis AC1200 dual band (model WF2190), based on the RealTec 8821AU. It supports .11ac and USB 3. The driver is not yet in the kernel, so far as I know, but you can download and compile it here:

If I remember correctly, I got the device from Newegg.
Hope this is helpful.

Also, it seems that netis may be defunct.

@mtbfr: netif looks alive to me. Try googling "netis".
