Hi! :-)
I have problem with Devuan's multimedia support.
Specifically playing videos. Although the more popular formats can be played without problem, I'm having difficulties with older or less popular formats.
At my Debian days, I was using Debian Multimedia repository (in order to deal with this issue).
What's Devuan's official policy about multimedia?
Does it suggest or support deb-multimedia.org?
What's your experience?
Are you satisfied with the out-of-the-box experience or were you in need for more codecs?
PS. I already gave deb-multimedia a try and seems to work well.

Hi Giorgos,
What formats?
To answer your question, ive never had issues. I prefer the flac format when i rip a cd to the computer, larger file size but the sound is 100 times better than say mp3 etc which goes without saying really. Flac is in the repos, after all it stands for "free lossless audio codec".

Hi Pan! :-)
I was searching my old DVDs and I found some (really old, mostly music) videos.
MPGs, MPEGs, FLVs, WMVs and such.
Oldies! :-)

I have no problem with any media files; local hardrive nor internet. I did select the non-free option during install, didnt do anything else in regards to media (did NOT need to install deb-multimedia.org). A good test for internet/browser media is:
