Need help with photo thumbnails not showing in xdg-desktop-portal-lxqt

Hello everyone. I recently switched my Mom over to Linux (Linux Mint 22.2) and she runs a Ebay store, so when she uploads photos to ebay for listings, she wants to see a thumbnail of each image so she can see what she is uploading. So I installed xdg-desktop-portal-lxqt and it worked good for a while then I updated the computer and now some of the thumbnails don't show. So I tried Deuvan with lxqt on her pc and that does the same thing. I see it is mostly images over 4 mib in size that don't show but sometimes 4 mib will show but nothing over that. I know the images are not corrupt as they show on windows 10. They also show in the file manager fine. I have looked and looked and i cannot get this fixed. Its driving me crazy. I have tried many other linux distros and there all the same. the thumbnails show in xdg-desktop-portal-gnome/gtk but the won't show at all in xdg-desktop-portal-kde and nothing over 4mib in xdg-desktop-portal-lxqt. So does anyone know what the problem might be and can please help me. Thank you for reading my story.
