The computer suddenly went out of action

OS: devuan 5
DE: xfce
The running programs are thunar  scite vscodium firefox-esr  terminator smplayer fcitx  copyq virt-manager

My system always goes dead every ten or thirty minutes, the screen is still, the keyboard doesn't work, the mouse cursor doesn't flash, it doesn't move, SSH disconnects, C + A + Fn doesn't work, C + A + S + Sysrq doesn't work, only press the power button to restart

How to find out the cause of the problem?
Can Somebody Help Me

Re: The computer suddenly went out of action

Your system is 'freezing up'.

Sounds like faulty electrics/power, check out your wiring for something loose, (or perhaps it's trouble with your power company/supplier?).

If they aren't the problem then it looks like it could be a problem with your ram/faulty chips(?).

Processor may be overheating & shutting down the computer(?)

Re: The computer suddenly went out of action

First try running memtest86 for a few hours. Run it single threaded first. If it doesn't hang or report any faults try it again multi threaded. If memtest86 crashes as well then the OS must be innocent.

Next boot Linux and run watch sensors in a terminal window. That will show how hot the CPU etc are. If it gets over 100C then check all fans are OK, there's no fluff on the CPU, etc.

Re: The computer suddenly went out of action

^ Except replace "100C" with "the maximum operating temperature listed in the hardware manual" (or the value of "crit", if the sensor happens to provides that).

I'm still continuing to test the system, the temperature is 52-67 degrees, the CPU and memory usage are normal
1) Ran for 6 hours under pitch-black command line with no problems.
2) No problems occurred when the XFCE desktop resolution was 1092x1080 for 12 hours (formerly 3840x2160).
3) Running OpenBSD-XFCE, the display resolution is 3840x2160 and no problems occur
So my guess is that it could be devuan only having problems in high-resolution graphics mode, or maybe it's an issue with the graphics card driver
But how to find the exact problem, I still don't know

Re: The computer suddenly went out of action

First fuse is kind of like a pipe. I'd maybe start to see what happens right after fuse.
a perf event could be indication of a signal interrupt or something slowed down the kernel.
Also then you see a bridge and virbo.
If you are on a tower or your laptop turn off your Virtualization features in bios. hope it gets enforced.
As for checking your logs after you could probably just suppress output.

Did you try system on different hardware? could fix error.
