[Help] UrBackup setup and device mapper with initramfs

So I setup UrBackup docker server and want to take backups of all my machines and on my Devuan machine it asks to "convert root device into device mapper device on boot (initramfs)." Will converting to a device mapper device break devuan in anyway or completely bork boot or / in anyway? I would like to take full snapshots of my system for easier recovery if needed.
