install guide doesnt match install screen

In the middle of installing

im at the stage of grub config and boot installtion

I have the the original debian looking text installer type screen (blue blackground, white writing, red square cursor)

how do I make the selection for \dev\sda  to install grub

didnt get the bios (32-bit suggested  screen show up)

Hi

As far as I remember, you need to use the advanced install mode to get this. If you want grub to boot your machine directly it will in my experience always choose the right drive, especially if you are using uefi and secure boot (secure boot do not need to be enabled) but you then need a  esp partition.
