The last two days, I haven't been able to use the i386 deb.devuan.org ASCII repositories. Each time I would try an apt update, it would try to connect and just hang.
Today, after trying again without success, I thought I'd change the sources.list to pkgmaster.devuan.org, and it worked.
Is there a problem with deb.devuan.org on i386...or is it just me?

Just you what's the error?

No it isn't. This issue has been raised before, so there's probably a small but fundamental error somewhere that has yet to be resolved. I can't solve it, someone more knowledgable should/would/could.
Yesterday I updated my "company-repo", which took a fair while to complete. Yet, no packages were downloaded as apparently, no updates had been made, or at least not processed/mentioned in the various Release files. This is not the first time, that's been going on for weeks now.

LOL!
Ralph, I'm not sure how much this will help. I went ahead and switched back to deb.devuan.org to try and give you some information. My system has already been updated with pkgmaster.devuan.org.
First try at updating...
dan@miyolinux:~$ sudo apt update
[sudo] password for dan:
0% [Connecting to deb.devuan.org (2001:638:a000:1021:21::1)]
After leaving it open and waiting 5 minutes...
dan@miyolinux:~$ sudo apt update
[sudo] password for dan:
0% [Connecting to deb.devuan.org (2001:878:346::116)]
After leaving it open and waiting 10 minutes...
dan@miyolinux:~$ sudo apt update
[sudo] password for dan:
0% [Connecting to deb.devuan.org (2a01:4f8:140:1102:2b76:955d:b48f:bdf3)]
After leaving it open and waiting 16 minutes...it finally connected! (I didn't have that much patience before!)

All packages are up to date.
However, pkgmaster.devuan.org is almost immediate. I do think there was about a 10 second pause before it performed the update.

ah right. I'm still in the ipv4 universe. lucky me
EDIT:
"onefang", who does ipv6 in his sleep, suggests that there probably are some networking issues at the client end, and that an investigation with traceroute, or traceroute6 I suppose, might tell something.

OK, I shall try traceroute if I get round to it on a next update round, whenever I get time for that (long story)
