#51 Re: Other Issues » LibreOffice 6.1.5 or 6.4.2 to ASCII from Beowulf or Ceres repos? » 2020-04-01 08:28:15

Hi Monti I could be wrong but I don't think backports are ready for Beowulf.
I was able to run LibreOffice 6.4.2.2 using an Appimage from here: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage/
seems to work fine for me.
hope this helps.

Seamonkey user here yip old school Mozilla. though I wonder, Seamonkey and other Firefox based browsers, how long do they have?
Seamonkey 2.46 is based on Firefox 49 but eventually they are going to get to 57 and then what? I don't think they are big enough to go it alone.

I have Vivaldi installed and it's a good browser, I will try GNU Icecat looks interesting, hmmm maybe I'll just go back to using Lynx!

Hello, first off thanks to everyone for Devuan it's a great distribution!
I decided to setup Devuan on Digital Ocean to run as a Seti@Home server
Being a long time Seti@home fan and all things Astronomical in general, I thought it would be a good idea, and running on Devuan, a better idea.
I already have an older Ubuntu 14.04 server running seti but more the merrier I think, and it also does a few other things besides Seti.

I first upgraded Debian Jessie to Devuan then installed the boinc seti app and configured it.
It runs really well.
If anyone is interested in the Seti@home setup, I followed this tutorial here.

Thanks again for a great Distribution.
Ruenoak.
