I have a problem booting ISOs created with refractasnapshot on VirtualBox and qemu. While the ISOs boot fine on real hardware they fail to find/mount the root filesystem when using the VM.
Any idea how to work around this - or which kernel modules would have to been included to make it work?
did you try to disable acceleration in VBox ?
this often brings succes in efi-booting
ok i wanted to try and test
devuan_daedalus_5.0.0_amd64_desktop-live
but after boot there is black terminal screen and askin login and passwort.
is that normal?
normally the iso distros starts fully till i the the kde, xfce desktop.
sounds to be in tty
don't know what you've done
best to try once more
solved by installing the correct driver
so far I used a LAN-connection with my router.
Now I decided to put in a WLAN-card - done - no succes, because there is no way in devuan to detect the WLAN.
any advice how to fix that
My Devuan system is running 6.1.64-1. What to do? I have not seen any problems so far.
just boot with 6.1.55-1 (6.1.0-13) until 6.1.66 is there
What do I do?
reinstall GRUB and update afterwards
(chroot from live or supergrub2disk)
but the mirrors I've looked in so far only have
desktop-live
installer-iso
minimal-live.Where are the others?
A little help clarifying the download page would go a long way.
Thanks.
you may take the second one of your list ---> installer.iso
when you open that, you'll find the desktop.iso as shown by stopAl
Excalibur = TESTING
Ceres = UNSTABLE
that issue is wellknown to debian-sid and also to siduction
and I guess those "problems" are normal when running these variants of an OS
