Thanks for the link.
Lost the mother of some of my children to a suicide. Hard to understand at times.
Life is very fragile.
That is some fantasy you've conjured up!!
Is it? His death and the circumstances around it are very suspect.
There are some very dark and deep rabbit holes out there. Been down too many to completely disagree with cynicfm.
Be willing to entertain a certain thought and some research in this day and age may surprise you.
This may not be the place for this conversation , but his death was not "normal".
Have to admit his vote on systemd would probably been the main deciding factor.
Seen too much evil in this world to completely dismiss his claim. It has some truth in it.
His last few tweets were very strange. Also have to consider if he made them or who had his phone?
I do not believe everything I am told unless I can prove it to myself. Murdock and his death just left me with an uneasy feeling
and no way to prove any theory.
Conclusion= I do not know the truth about his death.
I have been using Xfce for over 5 years and never had either of these problems.
The only "freezing" issue I have ever had is with firefox - no surprise there.
Same here with firefox and my Xfce desktops. I know Github is comped but Pyllyukko has a user.js
for hardening Firefox you may want to check out. Copy/Paste from his settings is pretty safe.
You can easily go over his settings. I also set "trr mode to 5" to turn off DNS use by Firefox.
Not sure when they may enable that on their own.
I do find Xfce very stable over the years.
No chance of that happening unless we have a massive influx of devs willing to take it on.
Yes it would, but you have to admit it is a good idea. Life is funny that way. It starts as a thought....
The party just started, we should let this cook for awhile. You can see they are going after the Linux kernel.
Just a thought.
Is a very good question.
I agree.
Since Linus has taken his sabbatical from the kernel, I dare say that many others might be contemplating this as well.
I was looking into kFreeBSD when running Squeeze. Was not sure why they dropped it back then, but I remember now
it was a sign of things to come. Could be a good way forward for Devuan. Systemd is not compatable with freeBSD kernel.
That fact alone brings a smile to my face. Devuan should run as hard and fast from PWNtering lunacy as possible.
"IBM acquires Red Hat in 'largest software acquisition ever' for $34 billion"
The plot thickens, this is going to be ugly.
May need to make popcorn run soon.
Just finished watching first time. Will watch again in a moment or two. BRAVO!
Excellent vid and was fun to watch. Good enough that this post should be pinned to the top.
Running Devuan and OpenBSD only. Lucky enough my main machine and Laptop kindly loaded OpenBSD smoothly.
Devuan running on others very well. Red Pill the normies, lol, how many red pills are out there. Damn, I have taken
at least 30 by now. If I keep waking up to reality I will never sleep again. Nice job, and on point.
Systemd writing was on the wall for awhile, so many people never read the signs.
Looks like a good place to thank any involved with the Devuan project. My instinct was telling me to jump ship from systemd.
Many do not see it or do not care but this will bite them eventually. Glad you have provided me with a comfy place to watch the show.
It will get ugly and the writing is on the wall. Again thank you all. Wise move Devuan, very wise.
