GENUEN starting GUI

in starting Genuen I got only the terminal without GUI
after entering:

startx

it opened the last Cinnamon session.

What command would be to start a wayland session?

Maybe you have various display managers installed (e.g. lightdm and sddm). You should define the one you want in /etc/X11/default-display-manager to end up at the login dm.

after that I have to

where again I have to enter my user name and password.

Polkitd looks for authorisation rules in several directories, but cannot find them. Polkit simply reports that these optional directories are not present. But this is not a serious issue as long as it manages to load the basic rules.

How can I copy or save the messages which come up when starting Genuen?
Where are those messages saved?

in /var/log/ there are many log files.
Which one shows exactly that, which comes up when booting Genuen?

I checked several, but didn't find exactly those which I was looking for.

bootlogd  is already installed
but the file /var/log/boot  is empty.
It does not record anything until now.

there are several messages that xorg can't start, but I can't recall them by heart. That´s why I want to get those messages.

there are several messages that xorg can't start

You may want to have a look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

It can't start Xorg.

This does not show any error.

You could run cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)" and see what that digs up.

There's also something Hyperbola GNU/Linux-libre devs found called sx

It does what startx does but is even more minimal and I have used it, no issues once its all set up. Then you just copy paste a backup in case when you reinstall your os, etc...

gives the message:

       (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.

the interesting thing is that after installing Genuen approx. 5 times opening it everything worked well.
after that XOrg server does not work anymore.

I tried 3 times to install Hperbola, but it failed,
then I gave up because my knowledge is too little.
I also now too little to follow zappers proposal.

Maybe it does, but on a different tty. If you press Ctrl+Alt+F7 instead of entering startx, what are you getting?

Crtl+Alt+F7 gives the same as F1, I have to enter my user ID and password.

I tried to to take a photo  but I don't know how to get it into this message.

there are problems with

It obviously cannot be repeated enough times, but Xorg and Xlibre have off-loaded the opeings of device nodes and files to an external mediator, which (presently) is one of 1)  seatd via socket, 2) elogind via dbus or 3) seatd as subproces. The fallback, option 3, requires that the X server is run by a user with due read-write access to all required device nodes and files, whereas options 1 and 2 only requires read-write access to the communication socket. Though options 1 and 2 require their surrounding services.

Choose your use case.

I would suggest installing afresh from the latest genuen 6 excalibur iso:
https://www.genuen.org/mirror/excalibur

Here it is booting fine and fast into a graphical session. I suppose the external mediation is provided by case 2 above (dbus and elogind), but did not have time to investigate further.
