Oh zapper . . . I'm guessing you didn't read this post:

There are no sides. Temporarily closing that thread is an experiment to see what the response would be and I must say that it has been quite amusing and predictable so far. Humans never seem to learn . . .

Think of this thread as something like a Rorschach test. I must say the results are proving to be quite amusing . . .

Rage quit in protest? Really? How old are you?
And FYI, accounts can not be deleted.

The above responses to my little "challenge" are showing in living color just why the world is in the mess that's it's in. Let it be a teaching moment.

@GlennW . . . My previous comments prove only what YOUR mind imagines and you keep digging the hole deeper. roll

License is not freedom and "feelings" are the most unreliable metric of all.

I am merely an observer of human behavior while you choose to be judge, jury and executioner.  It is rather amusing to wind you up!

@ GlennW . . . Good grief . . . Your imagination is in overdrive and your insulting, hair-trigger response shows exactly who and what you are. Did you not read this post?

https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?pid=54658#p54658

Or did you just see that it was closed and lose it WITHOUT READING the FINAL POST?

#232 Re: Off-topic » The Joke Thread » 2025-02-27 21:55:01

Time for a little break . . .

#233 Re: Off-topic » The Joke Thread » 2025-02-26 21:24:17

@moulder61 . . . Please note that I do NOT read the jokes. I am only a bean counter keeping track or resource usage. It is disturbing

#234 Re: Off-topic » The Joke Thread » 2025-02-26 20:23:13

Take charge of your own addiction! Closing this would not be fair to other Devuan users. wink

#235 Re: Off-topic » The Joke Thread » 2025-02-26 19:15:44

More posts in this thread today than anywhere else on this forum combined. What's wrong with that picture? Has devuan become a joke? roll

@hacksenwerk . . . As per your sig, I see you have discovered a creative working solution and shared it with the community. Well done and much appreciated! smile

Greetings fellow Devuaneers!

Today marks 10 years since the first Devuan installation isos were released. Jaromil posted the "pre alpha valentine (secret love declaration)" announcement to the DNG mailing list:

https://lists.dyne.org/lurker/message/2 … 77.en.html

So take a trip down memory lane and feel the love for the Devuan team and our users and celebrate their dogged determination which has beaten the odds!

May the fork be with you!

Is there benefit to spending ANY time on gaming? wink

The thing is, this is a Devuan package. It should work on Devuan. Users shouldn't need to figure out how to fix it, then fix it, on their own - that's what we have distro developers and maintainers for after all...

Our developers and maintainers are USERS like you. They are neither hired nor paid for their efforts to provide a service for Devuan users. Currently, no one is even bothering to build the installer testing isos so that should put your complaint into perspective! Perhaps consider becoming part of the solution by providing a patch?

Refresher course in Devuan's forum policy from 2016-12-01 for those who have forgotten or never seen it:

The dev1galaxy.org (almost) No Code of Conduct

#246 Re: Off-topic » Statement regarding X community » 2025-01-31 00:09:53

My personal opinion . . . X is poison. I have no idea why anyone with working brain cells would touch it.  But then . . . I never tweeted either. If Debian is leaving X perhaps, for once, they are making a sane decision.

#247 Re: Devuan » Why are systemd files present in Devuan? » 2025-01-27 15:59:25

@pcalvert . . . Yes, the isos need to be rebuilt regularly. Problem is they may need to be debugged before the iso will work properly.

#248 Re: News & Announcements » November 27 is a day to celebrate! » 2025-01-27 15:55:05

@einpoklum . . . Haven't seen you in a very long time. Welcome back and thanks for the financial support.

#249 Re: Devuan » Why are systemd files present in Devuan? » 2025-01-23 01:27:47

If you read the edit above . . . the task involves more than just making the isos. Some of the components might also need to be debugged . . .
