Well, I have a nice gui on the very latest kernel using the instructions at Devuan stable and Skylake (and Kaby Lake?) integrated GPU https://dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=542

Alas, the wifi instructions there didn't work... time for a bit more research... (any ideas ?)

(I was almost ready to give up and start again with a.n.other distribution)
