EDIT: it "seems" to function, probably, is still better wording. don§t think that pulling a 29,2 MB .deb of a 685 MB Archive is capable of doing it the proper way as it supposed, but for some usecases it might be OK.

id like to have confirmation this is still functioning in 2021.

Tried today on my smallPC with Devuan Chimaera,
but could not get neither Firefox , nor Chromium or Chrome to stream Amazon Prime Video in HD (only SD quality).
Did install Widevine manually, as it seems missing for Chromium on Devuan 4.0, but it would not play HD nevertheless.

On my Ryzen PC I have no problem because there the small SSD is for Ubuntu and Beowulf,now Chimaeira and the NVME for Windows 7 Pro, and to install Windows 7 on Ryzen I need CSM activated ( from my shallow understanding)

thanks rolfie, yes the secureboot was disabled, but somehow things still got messed up.
however, got tired, and disabled the UEFI entirely, and ta-raa, now the Beowulf installer boots correctly.
Only thing, seem to have to -reinstall windows 7 again, but will check that later.

Hello, IAM using a Thinkpad T440p, so I wonder were i made the error:

After updating to Beowulf, promptly the same error: grub bash instead of boot.

Tried several fixes, rescatux, refund , super grub disk, manual removal of grub entries and re- install, so far, no luck.
The grün-Installer would somehow always try to boot
\EFI\devuan\grubx64.efi from EFI system partition
Which fails
Instead

\boot\vmlinuz-4.19.0-18-amd64 from 212GB ext4 Volume would boot
Would boot

But grub-install always reinstates the Boot EFI from system partition option.

Sorry if this is confusing but I am sure the error is not entirely my fault, it seems a pattern with Beowulf grub package or how it handles the Dualboot.

@andyprough yes, it is always good to have options, and freedom is a most important. if i would have to guess, would weigh in Australia, but again, that maybe just a trend these days, but love see DownUnder rising!

to be honest, i dont think that VPN is helping so much with avoiding spying, but it helped me to access content that would be otherwise concealed to me due to companies geo-blocking some of their content.

@ralph.ronnquist, if you mean jessie archive, yesterday night it did not. was however able to install it using dvd-full installer and choosing not to add  additional software sources.
the installer would pickup "archive.devuan.org" but after loading some files it would state that it cannot use the repository. after installation i would manually install the devuan keyring and add sources.list for jessie, and that would fix it. however, netinstall seems broken.

@andyprough i have a account with protonvpn,
there i login, and go to "downloads" where it lets me choose to download or the apps or the .openvpn config files ; after downloaded the proper one, can add it to network manager;
is not so elegant, as it would not let me choose another country or another channel if the server is full, but for my needs it is enough.
