Thanks greenjeans. It actually worked. Changed the mirror to sledjhamr and it worked, for now it is the only mirror I can use with no issues for now.

I used this:

sudo apt update

Just to check apt package updates

Couldn't connect to http://deb.devuan.org. It showed only this:

0% [Connecting to deb.devuan.org]

And stayed frozen like this, HTTP doesn't work at all

Hi, I got a problem here related to the network and connection. I am completely new to this OS. Once I installed Devuan, everything was fine, Firefox worked fine with no issues, but when I tried to check for updates, it didn't let me connect to the official Devuan repo and I was stuck at 0%. I tried pinging DNS and HTTPS addresses they worked fine but when I tried to ping any HTTP site, it just didn't show up at all. For the clarification, yes I do know that the official repo is HTTP based. I simply need a solution on how do I permit a connection on HTTP sites
