so have you tried switching on and off and read dmesg?
do this and report back the output..
while this command is running in a terminal switch on and off the keybind and hardware switch.
sudo dmesg -WH
Cool, I didn't knew about the -W flag, very handy.
sudo dmesg -WH
After using the BT hardware switch:
[mai22 15:15] atkbd serio0: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd4 on isa0060/serio0).

Both.
nothing broadcom in those outputs. Were you talking about an internal adapter card when you mentioned broadcom in your original post?
I saw my netbook model hardware online.
i see rfkill list shows nothing for bluetooth which makes me wonder if that functionality is damaged perhaps? How long ago did you have it working with microsoft?
please show output of rfkill like this.
sudo rfkill list all

yeap it is not showing anything, maybe it is broken now. I'm using linux with it for 5 years now, since then the adapter was never used again. I will try to free space in an external HD and try to install windows just to be sure the device is broken.
what broadcom adapter is it?
please post the output of this command.
sudo lspci -knn | grep Net -A3
I never used the adapter, I got it used with windows pre installed and I tested the BT once, since them I installed Linux and never bothered to make it work until now. I read online this acer aspire has a broadcom adapter, but I don't really know for sure.

Depending on how you installed Devuan, do you have the following installed?
bluetooth 5.50-1.2~deb10u1
bluez 5.50-1.2~deb10u1
libbluetooth3:amd64 5.50-1.2~deb10u1(No idea what to do with them without reading up on them, but they came installed on my 'live' install.)
yes, they are installed.
I have Devuan installed on 2 machines, my daily drive and my old netbook. Bluetooth works fine on my main PC, but it never worked on my netbook with a Broadcom adapter.
I'm using Devuan since Jessie and 4 days ago I upgraded to Chimaera from Beowulf. It never worked on any version, never worked on Debian too. But I know the drive worked just fine when it has running Windows.
