Hi once more,
the silence disturbing is still terrific but undue caterwauling.
I suppose that - indeed I read something in the sensors man - the frequency of this fan is double low so that it meet a resonance frequency. As said a got this phenomenon since with ubuntu scanning firmwares occasionally. The rattling disappears when upon heavy load, heat, frequency, lets say kernel compiling. Or is a so called regression bug affair debian/kernel, maybe possible, too.
I might check later if a (non)userspace alternative would behave as work around, later, because this days the machine developer machine in permanent mode and I wont take it out for playing target. .. Maybe the concert with the refrigerator was not all without point .. (; So far. Undue caterwauling goes the report, however.
update: fancontrol's little configuration file allowed to set the frequency to zero while below an interval. cpu heat interval. for a start 70 C ?, and 80 C emergency full blow

now after some monthes the problem mainly disappeared. As said I experienced this problem before, and I think that old package list carried over an error of non non-destructive hardware inspection defaults of some package. Which i am not ready to figure out.

now after a month it is still the same.
Friends of mine meant the hardware broke, bur I read in the sensor manual, that the problem was, too, that the hw-chip was notoriously unpredictable. Up to now I switch the computer in to standby, till it cools, with but little success. Or I earn some come "holidays" hours, after having stood the rattling trouble during some hours.

I finished a devuan ascii installation on the notebook 4 cores,
(which is great imho, but btw note: hibernation first failed, and I managed to fix it with two boot parameter in Grub.confing, like described here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1081531 … o-suspend)
Now very once a while, that is I can not reproduce the error, however, then, when once started, a very very tenacious -and now after a month it is still so -, a second fan with low tone, makes terrible noise, loud enough to disturb the neighbors, and to have it impossible to work in public, at least. (Now, louder than fridge.)
So the regulation seems wrong.
It does not stop within hours, and seemingly heats up the computer by itself. Over more it is tenacious enough to survive (come back after) longer cooling periods of acpi-sleep <24h.
I remember that I had this problem with kubuntu a years ago, when I installed a then few hardware analysis programs, hdparm or so, but this hastened the problem, so the computer crashed out of over-temperature, till I switched to xubuntu. It can be I had a package such in the install list.
Now, I would like to give previously some decent diagnosis print outs, if someone told me which command lines.
