#1 Re: Hardware & System Configuration » no wifi working » 2018-05-13 11:46:22

I had this issue, as advised check what the interfaces are named with sudo ifconfig -a.  Then update the Wicd preferences accordingly. smile

Not sure if I should log this as a bug?

Hi,

I've successfully migrated from Stretch to ASCII.

I just want to say that I really appreciate all the efforts of the Devuan team to provide a Debian based alternative to System D, and also for keeping a flame to the UNIX philosophy.

Migration was fairly painless, however, I did encounter two minor issues using https://git.devuan.org/dev1fanboy/Upgra … o-ascii.md that may be useful to others:

1.  Getting the devuan keyring require an apt update --allow-unauthenticated first

2.  Somewhere in the process of removing network manager and upgrading the network interfaces were renamed, so I had to update Wicd to the new network interface names.

Otherwise, it all appears stable and the Devuan theme is lovely! smile
