[Solved] [User Error] Kernel panic booting raspi2 image

Hello

I'm playing with running Devuan on a rasperrypi 2 model B+. So far I am using the official raspi2 image unmodified: devuan_jessie_1.0.0_armhf_raspi2.img.xz

I've copied this to an SD card using dd but get a kernel panic on boot. This occurs quite early and I can't even get a shell using the "emergency" kernel command line or "init=/bin/sh".

Please see the below photo of the boot log. As far as I can see it gets as far as mounting the root file system but not much further.

I'd appreciate any ideas of how to debug this.

Thanks.

PS.  Having a closer look, the B+ is not a raspberrypi 2.  I'll download the raspi1 image and if that works I'll mark this thread as solved.

I had the same issue when I tried to install the raspi2 image on a "B".

Use the raspi1 image.  The website should be a little more descriptive which image is for which PI.
