Looks kind of involved... but if it works it's better than watching that error for as long as the install lasts.
Is this problem specific to Devuan? Or is it found in Debian also? Could this problem be referred up the chain to Debian package management? It looks like something in the proprietary drivers installation needs to be revised.
Yes, it is this problem specific to Devuan. I tried to install the nvidia driver on a Debian 11 system. No error messages.

Or you can install youtube-dl much simple (without pip and sudo) for you user only. Just

I don't know if the installation WITHOUT SOME display manager have to include elogind, libpam-elogind (it starts a deamon before the login!).

Yes, andyprough. I like bands from early black metal years. You can also listen Isengard. It is rooted on Norwegian black/Viking metal and experimental rock on some tracks, and named after the large fortress Isengard in J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings book series.
Right now I’m listening to a great band - Bell Witch, music. Sad, depressing and deep music.

Hello. Same problem here. You can try disabling hardware acceleration. That's what I did. Now Libreoffice is starting faster.

I think the problem is that you have a new hardware. Ceres ships with new packages and newer kernel. But keep in mind, however, that Chimera is a testing ground. Also, don't prefer testing if security is a concern.

Hello! Here I am again. Here is my desktop from 2008 As you can see, the information about the system shows small program, pfetch. It is a simple system information tool written in POSIX sh using features built into the language itself. I also want to brag that this app didn’t show the Devuan logo in the past, but I reported this bug to an amazing person, the developer of this app, dylan (a.k.a. dylanaraps) who was happy to fix this frustrating bug

The Acer has one other odd problem. While booting it will stop for a loooong time. It seems like a full minute. The message is:
ifup: waiting for lock on /run/network/ifstate.eth0
It finally realizes the interface is already configured and continues. But why does it take so long to realize that?
It is fixed in Devuan 4.

Thus. I transfer my last computer to the Earth of Devuan. I totally refused to use Debian 11 after I get fed up with Systemd and this message

before shutting down/rebooting.
The Devuan system is now stable and predictable.

after theming 4 Devuan releases, I'm ready to "retire" so the job is open if anyone wants to take it on going forward.
