Opensnitch - Waiting for thread pool to idle before forking

I've a problem with opensnitch-ui. Does not matter if service (opensnitchd daemon) is running or not opensnitch-ui gives this error: Waiting for thread pool to idle before forking

The same error is for opensnitch 1.6.9-3 from excalibur's repo and for deb packages from official github, version 1.8.0-1

ChatGPT advises to purge python3-grpcio version 1.51.1-6 and to install grpcio==1.41.0 protobuf==3.20.0. But current version of python3-grpcio in excalibur as well as in ceres) even in daedalus it's 1.51.1-3. So it makes no sense for me and opensnitch is running around one year on another machine with excalibur (it was test and now stable with constant updates).

How can I force opensnitch to work?

Re: Opensnitch - Waiting for thread pool to idle before forking

Hi, I've been seeing some quirky behaviour with opensnitch as well, but only that the gui with it's notifications did not start, I ended up setting it to start with plasma settings (I use KDE plasma, with xorg on Daedalus, again).

I had to leave excalibur because it lead to dep-hell.

I remember finding a python package for opensnitch and that helped my system a bit... ymmv
