Just sayin' HI!

I'm new here.  Haven't even installed Devuan yet.  Only just installed DS9 the other day with a NetInstall.

Needs a lot of tweaking and colour fixes yet.

Downloaded the NetInstall version of Devuan it's due in place probably in the next couple of days.

Other than the "systemd" part is the Debian wiki still considered the place to go?

Welcome!

For Devuan Jessie, most Debian Jessie documentation is still applicable as they are rather similar as it is.

Awesome, been using Jessie since Squeeze & Wheezy so I should feel right at home.  I'm sure you get the drift.  I'm still quite a noob, although I'm not afraid to break my system and StartPage is my best friend on the net!

Re: Just sayin' HI!

Welcome aboard. smile

I've been using Debian based systems since around 1999, but systemd is not my cup of tea,
I don't want it.
My main system has been AntiX which is systemd free, but is still based on Debian.
I have kept an eye on Devuan development since it's announcement, & am happy to use it.
I don't think you will be disappointed. smile

Re: Just sayin' HI!

@FOSSuser - I too use the antiX distro - long time, in fact yesterday I was looking for one of their wallpapers
from maybe '09/'10  - it was the sepia toned , foggy mountain and water.
'
Still running Devuan through its paces - it has all the apps (so far) that I use - well HP printer hasn't been
tackled yet.
'
Did try Q4OS for about 8 months - it got me wanting to test (and learn coding/packaging) Linux so
here I am at DEvuan!!  Linux is not the Linux of my more youth/simple days!!!!
'
Regards - gz
