Re: Problems to update grub. [solved]

Thank you fsmithred.  I'm new to Devuan and didn't know about those commands to navigate in debconf screens.  Devuan Ascii up good now (I have the dreaded b43 wifi).

Re: Problems to update grub. [solved]

Hi fsmithred,

The problem is that there is not TAB in my keyboard. Today i spend hrs trying again to install the system, every time the windows appear the whole information was not completed at the bottom of the windows, then, after many times trying different ... for intuition i was moved to press the key ESC and ... BINGO!

-- The system is already installed again, this time i didn't do this in Italian but in English, when locales appears, i just changed it from en to spanish and now the system is in spanish. No more grub problems, everything is fine.

Only one last question. I'm going to install MXLinux later but want the Devuan Grub, after this second installation, mxlinux will take the grub. If i change again to Devuan Grub ... is it there any risk in loosing everything like it happened before?.

Thanks!

Re: Problems to update grub. [solved]

Try not to install grub during your installation of MXLinux. If you make a mistake, accidentally install grub, and notice that grub is using MXLinux's grub.cfg, just boot into Devuan and run $ sudo grub-install /dev/sda. That will make grub use Devuan's grub.cfg again.
