I hope this is the proper place to report this. The checksums for the file Miyo-XTRA-Jessie-64bit-20180120.iso do not match. I've downloaded the file three different times and I keep getting the following sums:
md5 587675f6947aa086394085488844ae72 sha 256 6c6c214b09fef868ee49e1c0df6915afc827756d803821a7aa6878463e1c15e2
On the checksum file they are listed as:
649ca81770ece7e7b8aa85bfeeabf3d7 - md5sum
472448b24b65488791a9ffba5a8f6f8e0df8ec0e962d2fc5f15d60882d4d06b7 - sha256sumIs this just a mistake on the checksum file, I hope?
Hi Ron. Welcome!
First...I'm sorry for any grief this caused you. I'm not sure how it happened, but it is a mistake that I made in putting the wrong numbers in the checksum file. The correct md5 and sha1 are given on Sourceforge by clicking the "information" icon (on the far right) next to the file. The sha256 isn't given on Sourceforge, but mine matches what you posted too...so the download is good.
Second...thank you for pointing this out! I'll fix the file on Sourceforge.
You've done fantastic work. While I appreciate the kind words, all that I'm a master of is saying "LOL!"
Take your work and make it the best that you can. You've done a great job, and I wish you the best!!!

Writing this from the installed system, and free -m is 58 MBs of RAM used.
I know that different computers give different usages and outputs...but that RAM on this old computer is just stinkin' awesome!
I know nothing about Fluxbox, so this will be a treat to explore. Thanks again wdq!
You're very welcome!
Well...after finally getting it downloaded...(my internet kept going in and out)...
...all that I can say is...WOW!!! I'm writing this from the live session, and my free -m in the live session is 72 MBs of RAM used.
Gonna install it on an extra partition to see if that RAM usage is even lower.
Fantastic job wdq!!!
FluXuan...what a great name!
Downloading it now. I'm really looking forward to trying this out since I've never really given Fluxbox a go. Thank you for making it available!
On my phone, so I'm doing this from memory...might miss something.
I made an entry in my openbox menu for Spacefm as root...with gksu spacefm as the command to open it.
While in spacefm as root, I just right-click a file and choose to open it with leafpad. That's just the way I like to do it.
Have you checked the Permissions of the file(s)? I think that's at the bottom of the menu when you right-click a file. I've had to change several files' permissions that way to add write to them.
Regarding mounting devices...all I installed was spacefm and udevil. USBs mount automatically and open automatically in a new tab.
Howdy MiyoLinux
Feel free to throw in a few dollars!!
SpaceFM is my new toy~~~
Good grief'amighty! After discovering that SpaceFM works with udevil to mount items...without the need for gvfs...that's all I've studied.
Drawback:
1. ...no icons on the Home folders.
Benefits:
1. ...this bad boy is awesome! People want a dual-panel file manager? SpaceFM can have up to 4 panels!
2. ...get the Trash plugin if you want Trash available (and learn how to use it; it's easy)
https://github.com/jpfleury/corbeille-spacefm
3. ...use "bookmarks" in the side pane for Home, Root File System, and Trash.
4. ...best of all...you can really "Miyo" to your heart's content with SpaceFM!!!
If I can throw in my two cents...
SpaceFM is stinkin' awesome!

When contemplating this or that, always be aware that this may not correlate to that; therefore, that isn't necessarily this in the grand scheme of things...and at the end of the day, this and that don't matter, because in the realm of this, that is always speculative when compared to this.
...and you can quote me on this...or that.
Edited: Removed due to my superior entelligence showed me that it was in bad taste...even though I was just tryin' to be silly. Sorry.
However, despite my Mensa-material heritage, Mensa has lost out due to their Mensa-misgivings...their Mensa-misplacement...their Mensa-misappropriation. Yes, I could have been the Mensa Poster Boy, yet I chose to follow my own path'n stuff.
However...all is not lost.
Hey Mensa...

This is a true story...
I made "Dean's List" each quarter while in college (when there were still quarters instead of semesters). The following quarter after I was finished with college, I received a letter stating that I had made the "Dean's List"...even though I wasn't in college any longer.
Beat that!
Are you a scruffy old graybeard?
Well...kind'a. I'm a scruffy old salt'n pepper mustache and goatee.
You probably look too intelligent to be chosen.
...while it is true that I'm Mensa-material, it was more likely due to my eyes being closed much of the time, because I was almost about to fall asleep?
tee hee...
HOORAY! I had to report for jury duty today...but they didn't choose me to serve on the jury!
Hmmm...now that I think about it...what's wrong with me that caused them not to pick me?
LOLOLOLOL!!!
I believe Star and Crowz use the Debian installer. I'm not sure how modified the installer is. I could be wrong, but I think Star doesn't include contrib and non-free...but don't quote me on that. Same with Crowz.
Yea! A Fluxbox respin! Can't wait to see it!
Here are my results.
I used the 32 bit netinstall .isos of both Jessie and Ascii. I again used the Expert Graphical Install. During both installations, I chose NOT to include non-free and contrib.
After both installations of the base system, I checked the sources.list with nano. Both installations resulted in...the first line only had main. The lines for security, updates, and backports all had main and non-free. Contrib wasn't included in any lines.
I'm stinkin' lost! I just saw a response to me from fsr, but I was answering another response from fsr to me, and now I can't find the other response so that I can respond to his response to my response from his response to someone else's response to a response.
LOLOLOL!!!
Hey fsr. The answer is, "Give me time to think about it."
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
Miyo, have you seen the question about non-free in the ascii installer isos? If so, which iso did you use? Thanks.
No sir; I'm not familiar with the question. Here's all that I know...
1. In BOTH the Jessie and Ascii installers, all that I've ever used is the netinstall to install the base system and build from there...
2. In BOTH the Jessie and Ascii installers, I'm given the choice to include non-free during the installation while using the "Expert Graphical Install" option. I always choose to include non-free, so I can't answer as to whether not choosing that option works as far as not including it in the sources.list.
3. In BOTH the Jessie and Ascii netinstallers, I DO KNOW that including "backports" works as does the option to NOT include "deb-src" in the sources.list.
If I have time tomorrow, I will try a basic installation with both Jessie and Ascii...using the "Expert Graphical Installation" to see if choosing NOT to include non-free works.
Sorry that I couldn't be more help now.
I always use the "Expert Graphical Install". It allows the user to choose whether non-free is included. Granted, I haven't tried it without including non-free, so I can't say as to whether that option works in the Expert install. I do know that choosing to not include "deb-src" in the sources.list works...as does including "backports".
Hey fsr...
Any idea as to why the pkgmaster repo takes longer to run updates than say...the us.mirror repo?
pkgmaster takes about 2 minutes to run updates for me; whereas, us.mirror takes only 30 seconds at most. Of course...I'm in the US, so...

I'm doing this from memory (and I'm on my phone), so I hope I'm giving you the right information...
Open /etc/slim.conf
Look for the line that starts with the word --> sessions
The first item after the word "sessions" should be the default session; such as...
sessions i3,xfce4
Change it if i3 isn't first in order...or add/edit it so that it's first.
Not sure if it will require a reboot or just a log out/log in...
I apologize if this was a wild goose chase.
One last post...
I realized that I neglected to include the "MiyoLinux Welcome Screen". I will add that to both the website and github later today. After doing so, I'll come back here and modify the OP.
