Hopped on bandcamp today, some good music there.

Bathory is some high quality black metal. Reminds me of 80s Iron Maiden for some reason. Not the same at all, but just reminds me.
Yeah they are quite heavy.

I think alpinelinux has a way of hiding users in /etc/passwd. Im not on alpine at the moment but from memory last time i looked my user was called "linux user" in /etc/passwd but user name aka /home/username was hevidevi. Ill have to revisit alpine again to understand more.
Edit to add. Alpine linux was absent the shadow file/package from base install afaik.

Here is some light meditation music for your day....
Rotting Christ - DevadevamA bit dark and moody, but in their favor they play some actual musical notes and don't have any obvious goat skulls on stage in their concert pictures. And not much screaming in their music from the brief piece I heard. They are like the London Philharmonic of death metal bands I guess.
That was a walk in the park, this is dark and moody....

That's fixed in the testing/unstable version: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo … =%23983505
Now just have to wait for it to make into backports. In the mean time i just git clone Duncaens repo and build it myself, fairly simple to build and configure.
persist option is not implemented from my experience.

Hail Satan.
You have to wonder who the losers were that agreed to be hung nude on crosses with bags over their heads throughout their live concerts: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=Ji8RGi4cmrI
I hope they got paid well.
I think the hardest thing about being a Gorgoroth musician must be not stabbing their own eyes out with their spikey wristbands and armbands. Certainly nothing even slightly difficult about their music. Just feed a bunch of scratchy noise through amplifiers and play the same guitar note a million times.
Loved the goat skulls on the stage. That was a very nice touch.
I guess I've been Gorgoroth'ed. God seed, or whatever.

Ive made a mistake or two in the past and aborted the netinstall, not rebooted but kept the same session and have had previous entries saved. I would say there is a local cache save mechanism in play here. Same with openbsd as hoas points out.Ive also had missing steps, most notably tzdata and hostname data.

I had no idea about Chogyam Trungpa "thing".
Life is not about always doing "well" or saying the right thing. It is about learning and sometimes we step in a big pile.

Maybe the third time will be the charm, as they say.
With all due respect Golinux, i am old enough to learn from my mistakes but i dont believe i have made any here in my opinion.
Being unaware is not making a mistake.

I know very little of Pema Chodron or what the Tibetans are about. But I do remember the Chogyam Trungpa "thing" which cemented my resolve to stay far away . . .
The link was just the first when I did a quick search so luck of the draw and no agenda.

Hi.
for the rc-status, see https://0x0.st/oPZX.txt
I added dbus and elogind services:
# rc-update add dbus * service dbus added to runlevel sysinit # rc-update add elogind * service elogind added to runlevel sysinit
after, reboot...
but same problem, no keyboard on slim!
maybe slim needs to be added to runlevel sysinit?
sudo rc-service slim start
sudo rc-update add slim
Im not sure how openrc operated under devuan, but i believe you are using sysvinit commands instead of openrc ones? If you can get a tty then maybe you need to start dbus and elogind via openrc script.
let us know what the output of sudo rc-status is.
try these to get elogind and dbus running if they are not.
sudo rc-update add dbus
sudo rc-update add elogind
reboot.
Not sure how slim works but have you got elogind installed and running?
If you have xserver-xorg-legacy installed and using startx then edit /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config
with...
# echo 'needs_root_rights=yes' >> /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config

Fear Inoculum Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Immunity, long overdue
Contagion, I exhale you
Naive, I opened up to you
Venom and mania
Now, contagion, I exhale you[Interlude]
The deceiver says, he says
"You belong to me
You don't wanna breathe the light of the others
Fear the light, fear the breath
Fear the others for eternity"
But I hear them now, inhale the clarity
Hear the venom, the venom in
What you say inoculated
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity[Chorus]
Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy[Verse 2]
Enumerate all that I'm to do
Calculating steps away from you
My own mitosis
Growing through division from mania
[Chorus]
Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy[Bridge]
Forfeit all control
You poison, you spectacle
Exorcise the spectacle
Exorcise the malady
Exorcise the disparate
Poison for eternity
Purge me and evacuate
The venom and the fear that binds me[Outro]
Your veil now, lift away
I see you runnin'
Deceiver chased away
A long time comin'

Excuse Me, Professor, Challenging the Myths of Progressivism
There’s little truly “progressive” about progressivism. True progress happens when people are free, yet the progressive agenda substantially diminishes freedom while promising the unachievable. Excuse Me, Professor provides a handy reference for anyone actively engaged in advancing liberty, with essential essays debunking more than 50 progressive clichés.
Does the free market truly ignore the poor? Are humans really destroying the Earth? Is the government truly the first best source to relieve distress?
Compiled and edited by Lawrence W. Reed in collaboration with the Foundation for Economic Education and Young America's Foundation, this anthology is an indispensable addition to every freedom lover's collection.
Depends on your bios settings i think. Do you have the bios set to boot via legacy mbr?
I dont quite understand what you need to do, you say here:
As this system has a amdgpu installed installed it isn't possible to simple attempt a fresh install as the graphics are scambled and unreadable
So are you looking to wipe the hard drive clean an install a new devuan chimaera system or no?
If you are looking to clear partitions on the drive and start again, use below command.
sudo sgdisk -Z /dev/sda
-Z, --zap-all zap (destroy) GPT and MBR data structures
You just need to be aware of various installation methods. If you dont want stupid meta package issues you need to do a minimal install and make sure you use the flag --no-install-recommends to avoid issues such as this.
A History of Central Banking and the Enslavement of Mankind
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/233 … of-mankind
The role of money-lenders in history was once aptly termed by many acute observers as the "Hidden Hand." It is the power to create, lend and accumulate interest on "credit," and then re-lend that interest for further interest, in perpetuity, that creates pervasive, worldwide debt, from the individual, to the family, to the entire state. The ability to operate a fraudulent credit and loan system has long been known, and through all the slickness of a snake-oil salesman, the money-lenders - the same types Jesus whipped from the Temple - have persuaded governments that banking is best left to private interests. Many wars, revolutions, depressions, recessions, and other social upheavals, have been directly related to the determination of these money-lenders to retain and extend their power and profits. When any state, individual or idea has threatened their scam they have often responded with wars and revolutions. The cultural and material progress of a civilization will often relate to the degree by which it is free from the influence of debt, and the degradation that results when the money-lenders are permitted to regain power. Hence, Goodson shows that both World Wars, the Napoleonic wars, the American Revolution, the rise and fall of Julius Caesar, the overthrow of Qathafi in Libya and the revolution against Tsar Nicholas, among much else relate to this "Hidden Hand" in history. This is the key to understanding the past, present and future. (less)
correct is "as soon as nazis/racists come in, earth is doomed.. again."
everything is politics, even the systemd "series".. so, being "neutral"/ignore/look the other way, isn't the "nice" thing to do.
it's obvious, a nazi bastard is crawling around here, spreading misinformation.. talking about 2 sides on racism... nope, there's just people and racist bastards..---
p.s. lots of books about it.
When i said two sides to every story i was indicating the issue around the books "The Gulag Archipelago" please pay attention.Bit hard for me to be a nazi when my mother is Kenyan and my father Mauritanian.
