I have downloaded Crowz and Star, two interesting options.

I use to download distros as Refracta (looks great) and try it for funcionality.

The problem with using CD/DVD is that programs remain in older versions. By example i used Refracta  to resize a partition with gparted and get a problem..... then download the latest gparted CD and it works.

Best than .iso files would be a restorable image to pendrive o flash device.

OK, thanks for de advices, when i have time will try the STAR and Crowz.

Actually i am using Devuan base installation without desktop. Once installed i download the latest original version of  JWM from http://www.joewing.net/projects/jwm/ and all the required packages associated with it (also X system ofcourse).

I migrated from debian to Devuan more than a year and i have been playing to see how it respond.

I have tried to learn more but i dont have enough skills in C programming....

The best is that one you have JWM working download and compile the next version is fast and easy.

Actually i dont install Rox, instead i install idesk and works fine for me.

greenjeans: not only for old computers also for modern computers, by example in virtualization mode with KVM it works great. More resources for virtualizated systems.
