I have some issues with installing extlinux bootloader on my machine. I tried to follow this tutorial: dev1galaxy.org/viewtopic.php?id=555 but for some reason when the bootloader starts up and asks me to select the option it would simply reload or do nothing. I'm not sure if it's because of a bad partitioning of because I've decided to make my drive with encryption.

My partition table looks like this:

NAME                       MAJ:MIN RM   SIZE RO TYPE  MOUNTPOINTS
sda                          8:0    0 931.5G  0 disk
├─sda1                       8:1    0   976M  0 part  /boot
├─sda2                       8:2    0     1K  0 part
└─sda5                       8:5    0 930.6G  0 part
  └─sdb5_crypt             254:0    0 930.5G  0 crypt
    ├─userr-vg-root   254:1    0 914.6G  0 lvm   /
    └─userr--vg-swap_1 254:2    0    16G  0 lvm   [SWAP]
sdb                          8:16   1  28.9G  0 disk

As for the /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf file it looks like that:

ui vesamenu.c32
menu background splash.png
timeout 50

label devuan
    menu label devuan
    kernel /vmlinuz
    append initrd=/initrd.img ro root=/dev/sda1

I've tried to change the root to: /dev/sda5, /dev/sdb5_crypt and userr-vg-root but it didn't help.

Any ideas of what when wrong?
I also want to say that this is the first time I'm trying to set a new bootloader.
