network-manager are working with slim
i remenber that network-manager have some issues with slim - no userspace access..
this are working??? (i dont want to test again due i connect using wlan0 and its hard to reconfigure by hand)

There is a systemd-free version of network-manager in the Devuan repos and I know that it is being used with no bugs filed against it.

confirmed.. in Devuan are in good state and working, in debian due the systemd there's some problems if use lxdm, or slim..
